This notice explains how Bakartunet Guesthouse handles personal data when you use our website or send us an inquiry.

1. Controller

2. What data we process

Inquiries (form, email, phone)

Data
Name, email, phone, type of inquiry, requested dates, number of guests and the message you write.
Purpose
To reply to your inquiry and prepare a possible booking or rental agreement.
Legal basis
GDPR art. 6(1)(b): steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
Retention
Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Information in a booking or rental agreement is kept as long as the agreement and bookkeeping law require.

Visitor statistics (Umami)

Data
Which pages are viewed, approximate country, browser and device, which site you came from, and whether you click phone, email or Airbnb links or send the form (without its contents). The tool does not use cookies. According to the provider, the IP address is only used briefly to work out an approximate location and an anonymous visitor ID, and is not stored.
Purpose
To understand how the website is used and what leads to inquiries, so we can improve it.
Legal basis
GDPR art. 6(1)(f): legitimate interest.
Retention
Up to 6 months.

Bookings through Airbnb

If you book through Airbnb, Airbnb is an independent controller of the data you give them. We receive the information we need for your stay. See Airbnb's privacy policy.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We use these providers to run the website and handle inquiries. They process data on our behalf:

  • Netlify: receiving the inquiry form
  • Zoho Mail: email: notifications about and replies to inquiries
  • Umami: anonymous visitor statistics

4. Cookies

This website does not use cookies and does not store information in your browser for statistics or marketing. Links to external sites such as Airbnb, Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram are governed by their own rules.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing and to data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. We may update this notice. The date of the latest update is shown at the top.
